To start the match Lexington will be running into the sun at the west end of the Cage. The wind has changed directions and will be at Fort MIll's back.

Here in the 15th minute, we have the trainers on the field to attend to an injured Lexington player. Seems ok, maybe just a knock to his manhood. This games is much more active as the players are very physical and fast. I just wonder why the Fort Mill keeper that warmed up in black is not out there. He was very animated and energized.

Here we have a pk for Lexington as a player gets shoved down in the box! and he hits it to the back of the net off the left foot! That gives the Wildcats the lead in the 17th minute, 1-0. Too bad the other Fort Mill keeper wasnt in there, I'm sure he would have saved it!

After a half hour played the score remains 1-0 Lexington. Very physical match as the 2 teams have combined for over 15 fouls and a lot of guys ending up in the dirt!

Getting very heated as guys are being drug down, ridden, leg pulls as well as the old jersey tug. As this is written, we have a yellow for a foul and then seconds later a yellow for bad acting as a Lexington player takes the fall, but no one is fooled

Thats the half! Both teams really needed the break to cool down as it seemed to get really heated.

Fort Mill will start the 2nd period with the ball moving into the sun. But Lexington quickly gets the ball and counters and immediately gets a goal! This now gives Lexington a 2-0 lead early in the 2nd!

Now back down on the other end we have a ball bounce off the cross bar rattling the net, but NO GOAL!

But the action doesnt end as Lexington quickly counters again and hits a great shot that sees net, but no call, as the action has stopped, a conference in the corner with the linesman leads to a couple of cards. Seems there was some action off the ball in the corner that negated the goal!

Is it possible that the "other" Fort Mill keeper that warmed up quite possibly could have been the FM goalkeeper coach? Describing him as "animated" would be a gross understatement!

Describing him as sad would be an understatement! I suppose it could be, but he was actually taking rotations in warm ups with the other keepers. Maybe if he gave them more time, they wouldn't have 2 goals on them(actually a third, but it was called back)

Did he allow any goals during his warm up rotations? The guy's tough!

Both teams refuse to lose, and they are willing to do whatever it takes to get the win. Still very physical, some of these boys might could benefit from some medicated rub tonight!

This has been a hard fought match by the Yellow Jackets, but Lexington has delivered the knock out punch. Only 5 minutes remain, so its not over, but the last goal has charged up this Lexington team.

That is the final whistle with the score Lexington 3-1 Fort MIll. With a ton of fouls and four yellows, surely a heated match, but good one to see. One more match remains for the second days play, Cardinal Newman will take on the Eagles of Eastside in 30 minutes!
