Here in the 3rd match of the day we have Lexington in the all blue kit facing the Chiefs of North Myrtle Beach wearing the all yellow. Lexington will be shooting on the east end of the Cage, while NMB will be attacking the west end.

and we are off, with the wildcats wasting no time attacking the goal, racking up a shot on goal and an offsides here in the first minutes.

and this relentless attack notches one for Lexington! Some service and a header puts the ball in the back of the net in the 8thminute!

Lexington continues to charge toward the goal, as the ball has only crossed the mid line a couple of times only to be gathered and put back down NMB's throat! The NMB defenders are thwarting every ground ball that comes through the box. Maybe the Wildcats need to go back to the air for some superiority.

a through ball and a 50/50 challenge leads to the keeper leaving the field to be replaced by what appears to be an inexperienced one.(he came in with a flourescent penny on!)

and here at exactly 15' in, the unfortunate guy in the net gets beat by a free kick into the box that was volleyed into the back of the net. That poor guy was frozen, NMB really needs their keeper back! So now Lexington takes the lead 2-0.

and now, on a corner, an uncalled handball leaves some players with there hands in the air, ayer!

Well, we now have the original keeper back for NMB, making a save on another corner. Seems he will be fine.

NMB will be glad for the second half, where they can enjoy the west end of the Cage! They could probably turn the sprinklers on down there till the half anyways!

well, here in the 25th minute, we will get a line change for Lexington. Looks like they will try to save some of there power for the semi-finals tom! If they can pull this one off they will be in, as they have gone undefeated in the group and will win the group on points.

Scotch, scotch, scotch, I love scotch!

The inside of the NMB box reminds me of a pinball machine, stacked with yellow pegs and the ball bouncing around off of them.

Finally, NMB gets the ball down the field and after service into the box, a header sends the ball out the back line well wide of the goal!

I do have to say the the uni's are great! The contrasting blue and yellow on the green background makes it easy on the old eyes! Looks like HD!

WOW, here after a Luarel and Hardyish collision by 2 NMB players leaves the ball at the feet of a Lexington striker who takes it into the box and fires one past the keeper to up the goal count to 3 for Lexington!

here we go, its the half with a score of 3-0! Lexington has really controlled this one and seems to be on cruise control. We will be back in ten for the second half of the 2 oclock blue and yellow battle!

Here we go, starting the 2nd half with the NMB Chiefs defending the west end of the cage, and as if they needed any kind of distraction, they will find a BC high school baseball game going on at there backs. Might be the first time I have ever seen a goal and a homerun, live, at the same time! Exciting implications here!

we immediately have a possible goal, with another 50/50 ball in the box, this time won by the Lexington striker who just gets a foot on it, but as it rolls slowly toward the net a NMB defender comes in to clear it out while his keeper lies on the ground!

A third corner here for the Wildcats, just minutes into the half....they have picked up right where they left off.

While it appears that NMB will go 0-3 into the final day of play here at the Palmetto Cup, they must say taht they will leave here a better team, as the level of competition here is unbelievable! No one leaves here unscathed, not even a Norman North(#3 in the nation)

For the moment Lexington seems to have let off the gas a bit as we are seeing more play here around the midfield.

Lexington appears to have relieved most of their starters and replaced them with a younger bunch who are hungry to make their own mark on this 2011 Palmetto Cup!

Useless fact....people in nudist colonies play volleyball more than any other sport. HTP, picture please!

Well, the game is still on, not a whole lot happening, some back and forth, both teams trying to get a shot off, NMB trying to get their FIRST shot off. Just a general observation, the field is starting to show signs of the 13 matches played here in the past 3 days. The large patches of beaten earth the mark the center of the field from goal to goal appears to be growing. On the plus, the the four corners of the field look beautiful! Like a perfectly manicured field should.

We have 5 minutes left to play with the score remaining 3-0, favor Lexington.

there is the final whistle, with Lexington winning the match 3-0 and taking the group for a trip to the semifinals tom morning. NMB will get a another match, to be determined later this evening when the final points are tallied.

No, this guys was big and square, with an ill fitting yellow uni on! Where is a good camera man when you need one?
