Just wanted to see how you all on here would rank the seeds in the 1A/2A playoffs (Upper and Lower). Should be fun discussion and to see who the closes is when results from SCHSL are posted Friday.

Swansea should be #1 Seed.

The seedings will be decided in a meeting (Friday I think) and supposedly has defined criteria. The main ones are head to head, how they fared against 2A/1A opponents, etc.

If that is correct, then how do you pick Swansea over BE, which beat Swansea head to head. Then, you have Academic Magnet that beat BE head to head. I think Swansea has had a great season and will be a force to deal with in the playoffs, but I would have Academic Magnet 1, BE 2 and Swansea 3 based on head to head results.

Regardless, the 2A/1A playoffs should be wide open with these 3 teams plus Gilbert, Barnwell and Waccamaw in the Lower State. Upper State should be fun with Woodruff and Christ Church.

Not sure who is in upper state vs lower state except for the obvious ones but here are the records to date, ordered by losses in 1A/2A division:

Christ Church 15-2: Losses 1 4A, 1 SCISA - no 1A/2A losses
Academic Magnet 15-3: Losses 1 4A, 2 3A - no 1A/2A losses
Woodruff 15-5: Losses 3 4A, 1 SCISA, 1 2A/1A
Swansea: 14-2: Losses 1 3A, 1 2A/1A
Bishop England: 13-6: Losses 4 4A, 2 2A/1A
Gilbert: 13-5: Losses 2 3A, 2 2A/1A, 1 SCISA
Waccamaw: 8-9: Losses 2 4A, 5 3A, 2 1A/2A
Greenville Tech Charter 10-10: losses 2 4A, 4 3A, 3 1A/2A
Emerald 7-6: losses 2 4A, 4 1A/2A
Barnwell 14-7; losses 1 3A, 6 1A/2A
Southside Christian 10-8: losses 1 3A, 6 2A/1A, 1 SCISA

My prediction is Christ Church and Woodruff for the upper state finals.
Academic Magnet and Swansea or Bishop England for the lower state finals.
