Just over a quarter of an hour played in the second half with the score still standing at B-C 1, Lexington 0. B-C have a 2 shots to 1 advantage thus far this frame. The Bearcats have the wind at their back, and it has picked up -- now gusting at around 18-20 mph. While still clear and sunny, it has dropped a couple degrees at The Cage.

Herbert Cojulun shows great hustle just after the hour as he tracks down a ball destined for the end line, stops it on a dime and sends a ball across the six. Lexington defender David Enzastiga gets a boot on the ball, but it trickles just outside the area where Bearcat midfielder Gustavo Gonzaga fires a beauty towards the frame. The ball cleared the crossbar by a foot, and we're once again in open play.

B-C keeps the pressure on, and a nice ball across the area finds midfielder David Koprowski. His quick shot is stopped by netminder Parton, and the Wildcats counter. Forward Jared Eller beats the defense and looks to be in position to equalize. But B-C's Strickland handles the point blank shot to thwart the effort just before crossing the goal line. Ten to play, B-C 1, Lexington 0.

GOAL!!! Brookland-Cayce 2:0 Lexington

B-C's Herbert Cojulun breaks at the right time on a ball from Tyler Brazell and Aaron Davis and fires a 20 yard shot over Wildcat goalie Jacob Parton for a 2-0 lead on 75'. Wildcats looked for an offsides call from AR Marion Shull, but the Bearcat had timed his run perfectly and the call appeared correct.

GOAL!!! Bishop England 1:0 Cardinal Newman (22')

The Bishops battle back and big mo switches sides as B-E starts taking it to the Cardinals, outworking the #1 ranked and defending SCISA AAA champions. Forward Michael Reifeis lays it off to his counterpart Brian Byrne who hammers it past goalkeeper Thomas Wilczewski to take a 1-0 advantage. Shots are now 6-3 in favor of Bishop England. But CN are working hard, and we are once again experiencing open play.
