They are not the #1 team in the country because they arent even the best team in SC- just be gracious and congratulate the other team when you lose. Quit living off of past acheivements you sound like a bunch of Clemson fans

lvrpul Corner Kick L Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 362	Speaking of the past I was amazed to see that Irmo has NEVER beaten Wando in the State Championship, Wando won every time they played. The only time Wando ever lost in the Finals was two years in a row to Eastside when they were a 4A school

Wando lost to Irmo in the 1990 state championship game. Wando has reached the state finals 10 times.

Irmo defeated Wando in 1990 AAAA State Championship. Wando then beat Irmo in 1991 and 1992, 2002, and 2011. Wando beat Greenwood in 1994. Irmo is 15-10 in State Championship Games (13 as AAAA; 2 before Size Classifications were used)....Wando is 5-3. http://www.schsl.org/2009/pfbso.pdf Next, to discuss the Palmetto Cup, Wando has made the finals once before, losing to Bishop England in 2010. http://scsoccer.com/bcsoccer/pchistory.htm#champions While 30 other schools will have someting to say about it.....I suspect an Irmo-Wando rematch in Columbia on May 21!
