OP SCUnitedFC Throw In Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 99	For Immediate Release Wednesday, September 14, 2011 South Carolina United Battery Academy Teams open their seasons with a two game home stand at Blackbaud Stadium Charleston, SC. The South Carolina United Battery Academy U16�s and U18�s open their season this weekend with matches on Saturday and Sunday at Blackbaud Stadium, Daniel Island. On Saturday the Academy teams take on the Charleston Battery�s USL Pro rival Richmond Kickers Academy sides and on Sunday they welcome the Virginia Rush for a pair of games; admission is free on both days. Schedule Saturday, Sept 17 vs Richmond Kickers, 18 game @ 11:00 AM, 16 game @ 1:30 PM Sunday, Sept 18, vs Virginia Rush, 18 game @ 9:00 AM, 16 game @ 11:30 PM The South Carolina United Battery Academy competes at the highest level of youth soccer in the United States and this weekend will mark their debut in their new 2011/2012 Charleston Battery uniforms. SoccerLooney kick off S Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 44	Yes, there are those that care. Especially parents who are considering having their kids tryout for the Academy in a year or two. What better way is there to check out the level of play other than going to see a game or two when the academy is playing in town? There is only one USSDA Academy in South Carolina which makes it a unique opportunity for those aspiring to play soccer at the academy level.This is really quite different from just playing on a regular club team.
