From: Kendall Reyes, NSCAA State Technical Coordinator (S.C.)

NSCAA is interested in offering a number of non-residential courses in the Columbia, S.C., area. In an effort to accommodate our members as well as non members who are interested in furthering their coaching education, we are soliciting your assistance in obtaining the use of a facility that will allow us to host the following proposed courses.

December 10-12, 2011: Goalkeeping Level I and II
--------------------------------------------------
January 27-29, 2012: National Diploma (Pt. 1)
February 3-5, 2012: National Diploma (Pt. 2)

--------------------------------------------------
February 24-26, 2012: High School Coaches Diploma

A more detailed schedule can be made available as necessary. We will need access to one field and a classroom with audio/visual capabilities. The Goalkeeping Courses will have a minimum of 15 participants while the National and High School Diploma will have a minimum of 30 candidates.

Contact Mike Mauldin for more information.

Why are the dates when HS season is starting? Isn't the coaches clinic the end of January? Tournaments in February? Bad planning!

Not sure why the NSCAA chose these dates either, but it's something that I intend to find out.

What time of year would be best for you as a HS coach to participate in a NSCAA sponsored coaching course?

1. NSCAA Goalkeeping I & II
December 10th & 11th, 2011
@ Shannon Forest Christian School, Greenville, SC
(It will be posted on the website sometime this week)

2. NSCAA 2 Weekend National Diploma
February 3-5th & 10-12th, 2012
@ Columbia College, Columbia, SC
(This course has been posted on the website- see registration link below)

The HS Coaches Diploma will be offered sometime in the summer, based on facility and staff availability. I suspect it could be late July or early August.

Kind Regards,

Kendall Reyes
