Before their season starts in May, the Cobras have a few events around South Carolina where fans can see and meet their hometown team. These are opportunities for the fans to meet their new hometown team and a chance for the Cobras to promote their name and attract fans for home games.
Here are some important dates coming up where fans have a chance to meet their Cobras:
February 25, 2012 the Cobras will be introduced at Blackbaud Stadium, home to the Charleston Battery during the Challenge Cup.
The team will be introduced around 6:45 in between games, courtesy of the Battery, a men’s USL Pro-Team. Fans can meet the Cobras as well as watch Major League Soccer teams face off in games against one another.
Teams in the Challenge Cup are DC United, Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew, and the Charleston Battery from the United Soccer League. Come out, watch a good game and meet you Central SC Cobras!

On March 9, tour the Expo and stop by the Cobras tent to meet players, buy game tickets and merchandise. Then on Saturday March 10, come out and watch the Cobras participate in the 10K run and the children’s marathon.
After the run, look out for the Cobras tent to learn some soccer tricks and skills taught by the Cobras. The merchandise and game tickets will be sold at this time too.
The tent and team will be located in front of the Metropolitan Convention Center on Lincoln Street, downtown Columbia.
The Expo is open from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm on Friday March 9th and from 7:30 am to 3:00pm Saturday March 10th.
