Former CCU coach Bennett up for high school job in Lexington (be sure to read the "comments")

Socastee AD in running for job at Lexington school set to open in ’13

Just what we need out here, someone growling about cats (Lexington) and dogs (White Knoll)! Maybe he can add Gators to that list!

So play this out for me

If one HS with 3000 students had one AD making 100k a year (mostly because of football head coach - benefiting 60 students) and now you split said HS into two 1500 student schools with two ADs making 100k/year (mostly because of football head coach - benefiting 120 students)....

Where is the money coming from?

I can see teachers getting the same wage as in fact the benefit of splitting the school decreases the student to teacher ratio to a level commensurate with pay...

I would argue the 58k he made in Socastee would be more appropriate and the other ADs in district 1 should have the same pay.

So Phil Savitz of Irmo is going to be the boys coach? Hank Deer from North Augusta is starting the girls program. Wow! Things got that much more interesting at RBHS.
