The annual Bearcats JV Kickoff Classic will be held March 6-8, 2014 at The Cage on the campus of Brookland-Cayce High School. Below is the boys tournament schedule:

Thursday, March 6
Match #1, 6:00 pm – Cardinal Newman vs. White Knoll
Match #2, 7:30 pm – Brookland-Cayce vs. Ridge View

Friday, March 7
Match #3, 6:00 pm – Blythewood vs. River Bluff
Match #4, 7:30 pm – Lexington vs. Hammond

Saturday, March 8
Match #5, 9:30 am - M#1 vs. M#2 Losers

• Team Entry Fee = $175 (due February 15, 2013) -- PLEASE USE THIS AS YOUR INVOICE

• Tournament Pass = $14
• Match Ticket = $5
• 30-minute halves; 7-minute halftime; straight to penalty kicks if tied – but match will be recorded as a tie and advancement/placement is determined only by the penalty kicks
• The championship will be played according to SCHSL rules – two five minute OTs; followed by PKs if necessary
• Granby Education Center and/or Northside Middle School may be used in the event of inclement weather

Tournament Rules
• Friday = 25-minute halves; 5-minute halftime
• Saturday = 30-minute halves; 7-minute halftime
• If match is tied at end of regulation, the match will be recorded as a tie and advancement/placement will be determined by penalty kicks
• The championship will be played per SCHSL rules – two five minute OTs; followed by PKs if necessary
• Team listed first should wear white/light jersey & socks
• Tournament Pass = $14
• Single Match Ticket = $5

A revised schedule for the Bearcats JV Kickoff Classic is being worked on at this time. The tournament is moving to a Saturday/Sunday format due to the inclement weather. More information will be forthcoming.

• PARKING WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT AT GRANBY ON SATURDAY. PARKING WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE FIELD BEHIND THE SCHOOL. TICKET GATES WILL BE AT THE FRONT OF THE FACILITY AND THE REAR. A WARM-UP AREA WILL BE LOCATED RIGHT BEHIND THE FIELD ON THE SOUTH END.

Field is wet but playable. The back property has been coned off to signal where teams can warm up and where folks can park. Make sure to bring chairs for viewing on Saturday. There will be two ticket gates for entry. We look forward to some sunny and mild weather tomorrow and a good JV soccer weekend!

Cardinal Newman and River Bluff will compete for the Championship of the Bearcats JV Kickoff Classic hosted by Brookland-Cayce High School. Match time is 6:30 p.m., at The Cage.
