Female high school soccer players will have an opportunity to show off their skills to college coaches during a two-day ID camp at the University of South Carolina Beaufort on Aug. 1-2.

For the first time, USCB has partnered with Elite Soccer Showcase for the event, which will allow participants to work out in front of coaches from several college programs including the Sand Sharks.

The third annual event has become a vital part of the recruiting process for USCB coach Ed Heberling, who signed five players from last year's camp.

"This is a great opportunity for our coaching staff to evaluate players and see if they have the necessary skills to succeed at the next level," Heberling said.
