Tournament Rules: The tournament will be played pursuant to the GHSA soccer rules with a few notable exceptions:
- 35 minutes halves, with a 10 minute half-time
- All matches, except for the Tournament Finals matches on Saturday afternoon, will go straight to PK’s if tied at the end of regulation and will follow the GHSA Penalty Kick procedure.
- If the 4th Round Tournament Finals are tied at the end of regulation, there will be two 5 minute overtime periods, with “Golden Goal” or “Sudden Victory” in effect. If still tied at the end of the two overtime periods, the Finals match will go to PK’s.
- GHSA and NCHSAA teams will have the option of playing only three matches and bowing out of the 4th round Finals Match if they get that far. NCHSAA teams can only play 3 matches per week and GHSA schools have a limited number of non-conference matches available on their schedules.
