South Carolina Football Coaches Hall of Fame
Selected to the First South Carolina Football Coaches Hall of Fame are:
“Pinky” Babb, Greenwood; Paul Chapman, Chesterfield and Dillon;
John McKissick, Summerville; Bob Rankin, Dillon, Berkeley, Johnsonville, and Marion; Keith Richardson, Clinton; Doug Shaw, Myrtle Beach; Tommy Smith, Jr. Howard of Georgetown; Joe Turbeville, Winnsboro, Spring Valley, and Irmo;
Willie Varner, Woodruff.
Combined, these nine coaches have 311 years as a head football coach, they have won 2,733 football games and 45 State Football Championships.
