I know that we aren't at the college level so not every school is going to have a nice field, but I know it annoys me as a sweeper when we play on fields that everytime the other team gets a throw-in they put it in the box and I feel more of a threat than a corner kick. Just an observation, how do you feel?

i wish it was more controllable. with many schools having their soccer fields in the football stadium it limits the size. fields inside of tracks are restricted and narrow. i play sweeper too and i feel ya on that one. whats with this state? forget football and build stadiums based on a soccer field

I love it - its a great weapon most coaches don't even take the time to exploit.

This year Christ Church has a kid who can do it. Mid 90's Riverside had Adam Davis and he could do it on a regulation soccer field. I think he had 30 assists or so as a senior.

Couple of tall kids, a medicine soccer ball, a bit of coaching and 15 minutes a day.

I've got part of the solution to your problem DCA. Have your defense clear the ball further up the field instead of giving up a throw-in within range of the goal.

I freaking hate it, especially when a no talent team can rely solely on the big throw, just because they have their basketball team's power forward at striker.

I love it... its how we score a majority of our goals.

It is an excellent weapon. Im sure you're refering to CC's ability to chunk it in the box at home...it's tough to have to sit on your own 6 and wait for a ball at your head. The key is having a strong and fearless keeper to collect those balls. A few MEN in the back doesnt hurt also.

I dont think it makes no difference to me. We have a kid on the team, sweeper/freshman, who has a pretty nice flip throw who can get inside the box from far out.
