Region 7-AAAA honors
Region 7-AAAA released its all-region teams for boys and girls soccer, as well as the league’s coaches of the year for the 2015 season.

Brian Garvin of James Island Charter was named the girls coach of the year, while Wando’s Shilo Tisdale was tabbed as the boys coach of the year.

Wando, region champions in both boys and girls, led the way with eight total selections. Wando girls selected include defender Raymara Barreto, midfielders Katie Leen and Ellen Hayes, and forward Hannah Betfort.

James Island selections include midfielders Lawton Stalvey, Maddie Chamness and Sophie Sherman. Selections from West Ashley are midfielders Carson Carroll and Mary Shirley, and striker Remi Olalare.

Representing Stratford are midfielder Heather Blaszak, defender Nikki Koenig and keeper Anna Litchfield. Defender Madelyn Murray and midfielder Maggie Krueger are Cane Bay’s selections, while midfielder Breanna Crenshaw and defender Madeline Ellison of Goose Creek round out the team.

On the boys team, Wando’s selections include midfielders Tucker Heffron and Ramon Medina, keeper Jon Milligan and forward Sam Ross.

James Island’s selections are Roman Brockman, Brad Franklin and Yasir Al-Kameshki, while Stratford’s picks are forward Tyler Tekac and defenders Dylan West and Kyle Ashbaugh.

Selected from West Ashley are Julio Islas, Richard Williams and Cade Burgman, while Goose Creek’s picks are Omar Miramontes and Jester Ascunion.

Rounding out the team is Cane Bay’s Rudolpho Herrera and Keegan Patterson.
