USC Coach Mark Berson has led the Gamecocks since 1978

South Carolina (10-7-1) will host Mercer on Thursday, Nov. 17 at Stone Stadium. The Gamecocks finished #2 in Conference USA but were ousted in the CUSA Tournament last week in Huntington, WV by Old Dominion 2-1. USC is one of 48 men's teams in the quest for the College Cup which will be held Dec. 911 in Houston, TX. The winner of the Gamecocks/Bears match will play at #3 national seed Clemson in the Second Round on Nov. 20. Coach Mark Berson's squad lost both games to Mercer (2-3 ot) and Clemson (1-2) in Columbia back in August.
