MaxPreps is home to the SCSoccer.com Scoreboard

After 16 years of working with Soccer Information Systems (2001-2009) and Eurosport (2010-16), SCSoccer.com is converting its main Scoreboard to MaxPreps beginning with the 2017 spring season.

This move comes after a major change with the Eurosport business operations and their dedication to perceived future support of the Eurosport Scoreboard. SCSoccer.com appreciates the relationship we have shared with Eurosport through the years and their service to high school soccer. Before that, I had the privilege of supporting the national College Scoreboard that was founded by SIS (Charlie Corbitt & Wayne Boston) from 1993-99. These two entities ushered Palmetto State prep soccer into the 21st Century!

That being said, the South Carolina High School Soccer Coaches Association wishes a hearty welcome to MaxPreps, whom I have personally worked with each of the past three years and have been thoroughly impressed with their customer service, attention to detail, and willingness to make things easier on the end user.

Coaches should have received a "Launch Kit" for your respective team(s) earlier this week. If not, ask your Athletic Director about this service and request an email to be sent to you directly.

Coach,

The 2017 Soccer season is almost here! MaxPreps is the Official Statistician and Digital Media Partner of the South Carolina High School League. In order to accurately and equitably manage SCHSL initiatives, coaches are required to enter their scores and encouraged to enter their statistics on MaxPreps after each contest.

1. Click on "Schedule" to enter your games.
2. Select "Update Coaches" & update your coaching staff.
3. Click on "Team Calendar" to enter practices, camps or workouts.

I discussed this transition with our North Carolina Clash of the Carolinas partners and they gave a definitive "thumbs up" of approval after utilizing it this past Fall statewide during their boys' campaign. In fact, they did not even use the Eurosport Scoreboard because the North Carolina High School League mandated that all members sports that MaxPreps supports had to enter all scores/results with that software or either they forfeited postseason consideration.

I hope all of you will enjoy this new platform and participate in the many "extras" it offers: smart phone application; team rosters; players/coaches information; team/player statistics; team history; team/individual records; match programs; national/state/class rankings; etc.

Yes, it will take some getting used to but like anything after a couple of tries it gets easier each time!

One note, while the Eurosport Scoreboard required a lot of manual labor, MaxPreps basically removes that portion of the work because it is synced with the SCHSL classifications, regions, etc. So, make one change and it is globally affected.

SCSoccer.com welcomes any thoughts, questions, comments (good/bad), etc., in this thread throughout our initial campaign. Believe me, there are no bad questions - if you have one then chances are someone else has thought the same thing!
