I have been working with Alisa Dancer of MaxPreps today regarding the SCHSL Realignment for 2017-18. I have cross-checked the five classifications and 95% are correct. She is going to edit the regions and I will follow-up with her over the weekend. I will work on the SCISA data tomorrow.

So are we not supposed to put in any scrimmages on the MaxPreps team page?

That is correct! No Scrimmages/Jamborees should appear on a team's schedule. Only regular season, tournament, and playoff games should be listed.

Will the rankings that come out each week on MaxPreps be broken down by classification or just still be state?

FYI; rankings are gonna be skewed as there are still so many scrimmages in the Maxprep schedule for February.

I'm cool with it, just an added thought.

Interesting comment! I think most coaches/team managers have made the necessary changes to remove any Scrimmages or Jamborees from their Schedule and post it to their Calendar. From the looks of the data below, it's mainly folks that did not attend the SCHSSCA Business Meeting last Friday in Columbia or perhaps don't read the SCHSSCA Message Board very often.

2/14 - North Augusta/Batesburg-Leesville
2/21 - Thomas Sumter/Northwood, Lake City/Manning

If your team is listed below, please inform the coach/team manager to remove these games from your schedule. Otherwise, those scrimmages will be counted on your season's record. No Scrimmages or Jamboree matches should be listed on your team's schedule. Please post those to your team's calendar.

2/17 WA vs Cane Bay is a Tournament game, Rock hill vs Hanahan is also a tournament game. Those game are part of the Charleston Cup hosted by WA and AMHS

Question in the past we could see the scrimmage games on the calendar, is there a way to see who is scrimmaging?

No, and that is something we are addressing with MaxPreps. I think that is a good feature as well - if for nothing else to have your entire "schedule" in the same spot. I don't think it would be difficult to designate matches that do not count toward a team's record such as Scrimmages and Jamborees. We will keep you posted but in the meantime if you want to list those preseason matches in this thread feel free to do so.
