remember last years pinewood ben lippen game, pinewood was certainly favored but BL had greatest comeback ever, certainly pinewood is excellent, but if it comes to those team, it should be exciting
Don't forget though that Ben Lipens's "comeback" was aided by an unheard of 8 minutes of extra time and an official that took it upon himself to move a Pinewood wall, on a direct free kick from just outside the box, back 15 yards instead of 10 because he had to move them once before and didn't like the fact he had to do it again. Turned out to be the winning goal. Pinewood ran all over BL and missed at least 3 open net goals. They made the BL goalie look like Kahn.
One thing I would say that Ben Lippen has two steps that they can take this week to see where there are compared to Pinewood. I am not trying to distract from the current task(finishing the season and making through the playoffs)
1. Beat Cardinal Newman Solidly tonight. 2. Play a great game against Bishop England on Thursday, I don't nessisarily think that have to win but Keep in mind that 2 of BE 4 loses have come against Pinewood(both in PKs)and Bishop England has not lost to anyone else instate.
Technical Doc, there is no such thing as "extra time" in high school soccer it is just the time the offical keeps on his watch. How many goals did BL score in that 8 minutes?
That was a great effort by Keita to take over the match and eventually win it for BL. Pinewood is thankful that he won't be around to do it again! Is he playing anywhere this year?
He is playing at Erskine to my knowlegde. He said that the whole team was juniors/seniors except for him, so I think that would mean he's got a good future there. but I check there record and they did really bad this past season. jean had 2 goals and 2 assists.
referees always move the wall back too far, but jean would have scored no matter what, and this year, drew has scored off free kicks also so we still have that threat, i just think it will be a good game if they play, i'm not saying bl will win
