Man ...another 1-0 defeat by the Aiken's teams of Lexington. I feel bad for Will. He plays his heart out but Lexington just can't find the back of the net for him. Lexington has now lost to both Aiken and South Aiken 1-0 in each game this season (once in PK's to SA). Statboy.. give me your take on tonights game. I couldn't make this one unfortunately.....

Thanks Fireball. The atmosphere should be electric for that game. See you Wednesday.

Lexington looks like they're finally playing to their potential. The scores don't show it, but they played S. Aiken close Tuesday night into PKs and #2 Aiken Friday night. Lexington controlled the ball very well and dominated many points of the game, but couldn't score. It came down to a PK in the last few seconds of the game and the ball was kicked right to the keeper.

Ex, I thought Lexington improved a good bit since the first meeting. The first half was pretty much dead even, but I thought Aiken really stepped it up in the second half. Yall's keeper made some really nice saves throughout the game to keep the game in reach for Lexington. I also thought Lexington played the ball a lot better out of the air. Overall, I think Lexington was better prepared than the first game, but Aiken is just the better team. And I have two things that I have to mention: Bryce's goal was one of the nastiest goals I've ever seen - he went almost the length of the field, cut up at least 6 guys on the way, and ripped a nice-ass shot - and second, I can't help but feel sorry for whoever it was that put a goal up on the scoreboard for Lexington before that kid got his PK blocked to end the game. That made Calder's save that much sweeter.

Thanks for your update. Sounds pretty reasonable. I have to agree with you... Aiken is just a better team this year. Lack of offense is what is killing Lexington. They should do ok in the playoffs hopefully. They have the defense and goal keeping to play with every team in the state this year, they just need somone to step up and take someone on and put the ball in the back of the net. BTW: I'm picking Aiken over South Aiken... I just don't think SA has what it takes this year compared to last year.
