Clemson's Robbie Robinson
won the Mac Hermann Trophy - the "Heisman Trophy" of men's college soccer?
The junior from Camden, S.C., who played with the Charleston Battery Development Program during his high school years, registered 45 points this past year with 18 goals and 9 assists as the Tigers compiled an 18-2-2 record en route to the NCAA Quarterfinals. For his outstanding play, Robinson was named a First Team All-American, First Team All-South Region, First Team All-ACC and the ACC’s Offensive Player of the Year.
Robinson has declared for the MLS SuperDraft, which will be held in Baltimore, MD next week after signing a Generation adidas contract last week.
This is the third time a member of the Clemson program has won the award, with Bruce Murray and Wojtek Krakowiak winning in 1987 and 1998, respectively.
