Nominations Open for 2020-2021 High School Scholar All-America Online

Nominations are now open for the United Soccer Coaches High School Scholar All-America program for the 2020-21 academic year (fall, winter and spring seasons). The awards are presented annually to high school seniors nominated by high school coaches who are members of the association.

Nominations will remain open until July 8, 2021. A committee then reviews the nominations and selects both Scholar All-Region and Scholar All-America players for recognition. In addition, one male and one female are selected as the Scholar All-America Player of the Year.

Once the academic criteria are met for nomination, selection is made specifically on the student’s soccer achievements during the season of nomination and over his/her career. To become a Scholar All-American at the interscholastic level, a player must:

Be nominated by his or her head coach. The coach must be a United Soccer Coaches member at the time of nomination.
Nominated players must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or better (on a 4.0 scale) through the first semester of their senior year.

The student-athlete must have demonstrated recognized excellence in high school soccer such as being named a member of the All-State team.

The student should have performed community service at the local, regional or national level.

Before you begin the nomination process, please make sure you have ALL of the following information:

Athletic Directors Contact Information including School Phone Number and Email
Principal's Contact Information including School Phone Number and Email

Selections are made by a Scholar All-America Committee who review all nominations based on the criteria. The deadline for nominations is July 8, 2021. Nominations must be accompanied by a Student GPA Certification/Release Form, and transcript.
