Not bashing any of the picks here at all. I'm just wondering from the guys picking TL Hanna over South Aiken, what is the basis on this? I just want to know what makes this such a popular upset pick. What advantages do you perceive the Jackets as having and where do you percieve the weaknesses on SA? Again, I'm not downing your pick or allegiances, I just want to engage in soem discussion on this match-up with some minds who see past the T-bred veil that I wear.

Nothing against South Aiken I know that the are a very talented team...But I just feel that goin into the playoffs that TL Hanna is looking very strong...but its goin to be a hard fought game is goin to come right down to the wire

Fair enough assumption. The jackets do seem to be playing pretty good since they've returned from overseas. How did they finish tied third in the region? Is Greenwood and Mauldin that tough? The only comparisons I've had on either of those teams is a pair of 3-1 Greenwood losses to Aiken, not bad considering how Aiken is this year.

What gives LSC, no faith in Reigon 8 teams? Ain't no way Hilton Head loses to Airport or Summerville loses to Sumter. And I'm calling out the upset for Fort Dorchester over Dutch Fork just because they're pretty lucky and I'm a Reigon 8 fan.

socastee will not make it that far. they'd lose in the lower state semis. and i all have to say is, if aiken and south aiken played eachother in the upperstate finals, there would definately be a lot of fouls. it would be a tough match; tougher than the first 2.

"what I wouldn't pay" or What would I have to pay? You confuse me with the statement. I have to re-read it and still I must ask whether you would eagerly await the possibility of that match-up. I'm confused by too many words. LOL!

I think that Summerville will easily beat Sumter. If West Ashley can shut down #4 they can beat South. Hartsville will be playing at full strength for the first time this season against James Island, so I expect a very close match. Socastee will roll over Straford. Wando and Irmo will win easy. I like Socastee to win lower state, though if Kyle can get some shots on goal, nobody can beat them.

Soccerboy, you know anything about Ridge View and/or Spring Valley?

James Island will beat hartsville by atleast 4...

HeadstrongDO- as for whether I know much about RV or SV this year. I can only say that I don't think Aiken has too much to worry about RV this year. Kevin is doing well with the talent he has, but I don't think they have the superstars this year that they have had in the past that make RV just that much tougher of a team. I would be worried about Spring Valley if I were Aiken. If they beat Lexington, and I believe that they will, they are going to be a tough team. They are doing pretty well the last part of the season, and have a pretty strong defense, and a pretty potent offense when clicking. Good luck to Aiken, and I would like to see an Aiken Northwestern match for the uperstate finals...that would be a battle!

fort mill was ranked #13 in state for a reason.....spartanburg was not ranked....seedings don't always tell the story

i think its so funny how evrybody is sayin WA doesnt have a chance against SF. WA boys have a VERY IMPRESSIVE amount of talent and have spent all season perfecting and apparently put it together well with their win over JI. i love those boys...give em a chance!
