The State has a front page article in the sports section on Wando's goalie. But in the article it states:

"Agudelo and the Warriors, the 2003 Class AAAA state champions, open defense of their title at home tonight against Crestwood"

Pretty poor job of reporting. But good to see HS soccer in the paper.

I sent Gerald Davis and Patrick Obley of The State an e-mail this morning and G.D. sent the following reply!

Kyle,

We'll run a correction in Wednesday's edition.
Thanks for looking out [Smile] .

Gerald, Patrick & The State Sports -

Thanks for the coverage of the high school soccer playoffs -- it is very much appreciated ... Two things:

1) In Jim McLaurin's article (page C1) it states that Wando is the 2003 Class AAAA state champions in boys soccer -- that is incorrect (Irmo defeated Northwestern 1-0 in a penalty kick shootout last year) ... The Warriors downed Irmo 3-2 in overtime the year before in the State Championship;

2) A couple of misspellings in the Region 5-3A article (page C5) -- Kevin Rose should be Kevin Ros and John Houser should be Josh Houser.

Not a big deal, but one we will receive feedback on ... Could you possibly run those teams on the Agate page of the Sports section tomorrow?

Thanks once again for the coverage!
