Like I said earlier..I think Dreher or BC (I haven't seen/heard much about MB this year..so I can't really say) will put up a good fight at State this year..but (and especially after last night)..the title is still the Up-State's.

I was very impressed by Daniel..even though they lacked intensity..but I guess you don't really need intensity when you're playing such inferior competition.

It was nice to meet you Bob..and I'm assuming you're the Fuzy(sp)'s father/relative.. Anyways..they may have been the best players I've seen all season..especially Mitch.

By the way. Goal for LE was scored by Jack Rozier(Me)..not that it really matters.

I'm sorry..I don't see Socastee as the "end all be all".. I'm not saying Myrtle Beach is bad or anything (I don't know much about the school from Georgia)..but aside from them..their region isn't really stacked..and the beginning of the season is too far away to make an accurate judgement now.

I'm just going by what I've seen..and by what I can deduce from the records of the teams I haven't seen.

In all likely-hood.. MB is going to have to go through Flora, then BC, then Dreher..and I just don't see it happening.

The upstate is just horrible from a draw standpoint. On one side you have Grnvlle(many would probably say the favorite on this side), Mann and Daniel(starting 4-5 freshman, so they would not be favored)...on the other side you have Riverside(expected to go all the way by many), Eastide(likely the second favorite to go all the way), avery strong Seneca and Southside...any of these would do well against the lowerstate and could get on a roll.
My favorite..D-Dub

I was curious as to how Greer is. The Raiders have them tonight and I noticed Riverside didn't have a handy defeat over them in both meetings, unlike the rest of Riverside's region wins. What does Greer have to look out for or is there an explanation to the Greer/Riverside games?

BobF, coming into the match last night, I knew that Daniel was a good team. But I think that I had some assumptions that turned out to be worng.

I was assuming that Daniel was the kind of cocky team that knew they were good and really had no class. I was completely wrong in assuming this. Don't get me wrong, though. Daniel knows that they are a good team, however, they have much class, probably one of the classest teams I have seen this season, and respect for all their opponents, regardless how inferior they may be.

Many props go out to the Daniel players and also to the Fuzy twins. They really played well off of each other. Great game guys and the best of luck on down the road.

Thanks coach, but Coach Hooper has done a lot with these boys this year. He deserves the credit for mixing 4-5 freshman starters with a couple Jrs and 5 seniors that have added great leadership. Going into the year I certainly didn't expect the year they have had..just hoped they'd defend the title admirably, but who knows what could happen with some breaks...gosh.. this "class" talk will keep DWD out of the Red Kneck" playoff for ever, keep it down!!

yes, the Daniel team is very skilled and will do well in the playoffs this year... after playing other teams such as Dreher and BC, I know that they better not underestimate the lowerstate though... but Daniel is very skilled in passing and team chemistry when it comes to the attack... their midfielders and forwards work really well together to set up plays each attack... excellent shooting as well... one thing to watch out for when playing Daniel is their corner kicks... very lethal with headers to the far post... I played defense for most of the match and spent my corner kick time sitting just inside the post and I headed out several potential goals that were out of the keeper's reach... they know how to place headers very well... a very solid and sportsmanlike team... good luck daniel in the upcoming matches... and yes I would say BobF that your family is blessed if you have 3 star soccer players a few years apart...
