Buford wins in 2ot's 2-1. A player and a coach were thrown out of the game both from W-E. W-E played 5 minutes of the end of the game and both ots with 11 players even though one player was ejected, oh excuse me with 12 players at the beginning of the 1st ot. A fan from Buford's side was ejected for yelling at the referees that the other team couldn't have 11 on the field since a red card was given. No obscenities came from the fans mouth.

Tough luck for our countymates Williston-Elko. We lost a VERY tough game to Governor's School tonight in double overtime as well. 4-3. Governor's School has a good team, and it could have gone either way. Good luck to Buford and GS next Wednesday.

*Why are Williston players/fans always so hostile? Is it a lack of discipline from the coach?*

Congradulations to the Governor's School. One of the best games I've seen. Good luck against Buford on Wednesday. I know the lower state will be represented well in the championship game.

Vtboy17,
How did Buford run their setup and offense. Did they control the ball or did they kick it downfield and have a fast break away?? Who were their key players to watch out for?

From what it sounds like, the lower state has 4 very good teams that represent on the same level. You guys will have to step your game up another notch next season as Academic Magnet moves to Lower and Buford moves to Upper. Good luck to all teams on and off the field.
~Someone please just beat Christ Church...SCS, you guys better practice twice as much, change your formation around and take a chance. I mean this is the playoffs and those guys are gonna win regardless if you play the same way you have been against them (I'm sure you guys know that). Good luck to you guys!!!

Haha, sorry even though I am a big SC soccer fan, I did graduate from Buford. So I'd really rather not say, but I will tell you that Buford is not a kickball team. While some of our teams in the past may have been, this team has more possession skills than any of the past teams. That's all I'll say, except good luck to whoever you may play for.

We(BHHS) played a hell of a game. We played our hearts out. We had a great season, and it was an honor to play for this team. I look forward to it next year.

yeah, GG. For the record, it was the second of the two OT's of five minutes, and we put one in with like two seconds left?! Anyway, thanks for the great game blackville-hilda.

Well, considering I have little else to do now would you guys try and describe the goals and the situation you lost in? I know it's a bad feeling but they all seem to be good, exciting games that I'd personally like to hear about.

Good game between Dixie and Southside Christian. I wouldn't exactly say that Dixie deserved to win the game considering they only got 1 shot on goal the whole game and that ball went in, but it was still a well fought game. SSC controled most of the game with the ball staying on Dixie's half of the field the majority of the time. Props to Dixie's keeper, Goob, if you weren't in goal then we probably would've put about 5 or 6 in the back of the net. Anyways great season to Dixie, we enjoyed playing three awesome games with you guys. Look forward to seeing you guys next year.

^well, i can say it was like on our half the beggining of the game and the beggining of the 2nd half for about 5 minutes.. coach sub'd me and a couple others in and things clicked.. I dont start some games because I go to work the day before a game, so that means I leave practice early and my punishment is staying out some of the 1st half..Man I can say this.. I've been training for football and gaining weight and I cant get in soccer shape.. Mid field kills me when im outta shape.. Yall played a good game.. and we had alot more than "1" shot on goal.. we came VERY close to tieing it up with 10 minutes to go.. we pounded then..anyways.. Man me and number 6 is in todays greenville paper.. We the only pic in the soccer area...check that out.. its good..anyways.. goodluck to yall..p;eace...1

hmmm....i would say SSC had the game, and controlled it. people may say well dixie soulda won, or are the better team, i would say 24 and GOOB are the best players, but SSC's ball control far outweighed dixie's. DCA dribbled past 4 guys all the way up the field several times. Good fight however from both teams. See you next year.

I think alicruzco might be mistaken about #24. I don't remember thinking he was any good. Your two captains are both good players, boogie's good, and number 2, your right wing is a good player. Any of those guys returning for next year?

Excuse me, SCS guys...hopefully you do not consider this nosy or anything of the sort but I saw that Nick Hammett made the 1a ALL-STATE team, could one of you guys perhaps tell me what position he plays or what number he is? I'm just trying to recall all of the guys I played against. I think that Jason Crumpler was #8 and he was a solid player, again...sorry to ask this question I'm just wondering.

Nicky Hammett is number 6 for our team, he doesn't have the most goals because he plays center mid, but he's our best player skill wise.
