So let me get this straight, of the 18 players selected for 4A, only 2 are on teams that are still left in the playoffs??? Again the quality players on good teams(IRMO, HH, SV) get no recognition. Politics, plain and simple.
Lexsoccer, I agree. I was surprised to see more than one player from S. Aiken and Dutch Fork. Soccer is all politics. I think the best representation of the best players in the State is the Super 18 thing SCSOCCER does.
I agree...You are telling mew that IRMO does not have an all state player....WOW....How does the coache's association pick kids? Isn't it the HEAD coaches job to nominate players.....Isn't the SCHSSCA All-State team based on the HS season NOT club? Seems to me that ii is based more on club accomplishments than HS(the Wando kid as Gatorade POY after the SUN BOWL and 4 Aiken fire kids making it!!!)......The AAAA coaches look pretty silly now.....oh yeah there is no way in hell Dorman has an all-state member and Irmo doesn't.....heck my boy Simp from RV shouldn't have made it!
Dorman had a player sign with Wofford that was injured for most of the year... if that was him sounds like he is all state calibur but he was injured for most of the year.
No, Andrew Harris is Dorman's Injured player and he is not the one that made All State. What has Dutch Fork's defense done all year to make Lukshis an all state defender? Allow Sumter to score 2 goals on them in a loss? Maybe thats it.
