It looks like Norman North wants a piece of all the SC top schools. Should be a good bracket to watch. Good luck to everyone!

I really don't think that Irmo is going to destroy NN, if anything, it is going to be a well fought match. Irmo may come out on top, NN may come out on top. I think Irmo leads the series 1-0. Should be some good matches. Irmo has some talent coming back next year, and should put up a good fight with NN. Don't count DF or TL out. Looking forward to a great season again!

I have one question for those of you picking against Norman North-- have you ever seen this team play? Did you see them roll through the Palmetto Cup last year?

At last year's Palmetto Cup, they had an athletic 6'5" GK, a couple of brutal backs, a CM with incredible vision/speed and two outside MF with blazing speed with pure finishers up top. Their biggest problem seemed to be with chemistry. Some of the outside MF got frustrated with balls played too far in front or a mix up between balls played over the top vs. to feet.

All I am saying is that after seeing Norman North play at last year's Palmetto Cup, any team who plays them had better bring their "A" game in order to compete-- including Irmo, Northwestern, Wando, BE. I know all of those teams will not play N.N., but that is their level. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that N.N. won the Oklahoma 5A state title in 2004.

I only hope Norman North will also make the trip for the 2005 Palmetto Cup b/c that level of competition forces S.C. schools to raise their level of play.

I'm sure they will be good, but last year was last year. Irmo and Eastside will give them a good shot.

We (Norman North) are very disappointed that we can not attend the Lake Murray Challenge. Our state rules will not allow us to participate. We will be at the Palmetto Cup and look forward to the competition. Hopefully we will have another good showing. Again I apologize for us having to pull out. We hope to be able to attend next year.
