i agree...the twins...crafty...yet extremly slow...eastside doesnt need a good goalie if they never give the opposition a decent chance...and with their players they can easily do that...and i agree...daniel will be in the mix for the next 3 years

I don't know if the Greenville area teams have what it takes this year to win again. A boys team from Greenville County has won the AAA State Championship nine of the 12 years its been played, but outside of Eastside, I just haven't been able to gauge the area teams this spring, because they haven't played that much. Mann and Riverside must be playing every day in April, because they haven't had many results so far.

Greenville (2004, 2002)
Riverside (2001, 2000, 1995, 1994, 1993)
Mann (1999)
Wade Hampton (1998)

Even if you don't believe in Mann, Greenville, Riverside or Daniel, everyone myust still contend with Eastisde which has the most talent in the state. Riverside and Daniel are having an off year a bit because of losing some good players from last year but they are still strong. Greenville is in a similar boat but because fo a strong Sophomore class that are still very strong. Mann is good but really hasn't played enough big games yet to judge how good.

That said, even if it is an off year for those teams, they are still very strong.

I'm going to have to see Eastside play in person to be a believer.. they haven't really played anyone..since the beginning of the season..and they didn't have their whole squad then.

I'm not doubting..just..being skeptical..if that makes sense.

Then you should take a trip to GVille on April 4 LE and watch the Riverside Eastside game. It's always competitive and often played at Furman stadium. Not sure on the location of this game though.

You can just say Jack if you'd like..

And..I was planning on going to the Daniel/Eastside match since it will be right down the road..but.. I may not be able to wait that long..

we shall see.. I'm still crossing my fingers for NMB or someone from Region 5 (have to honor the Lowerstate allegiance)

"I think if Eastside is the best of the upstate teams then a lower state team will finally win in AAA.

Eastside has a lot of talent, but no discipline and poor goalkeeping. Matt Huffstetler is a horse and very driven.

Greenville has zero threats offensively, but very talented underclassmen and a solid team.

Daniel misses the Fuzy twins a bunch, but are going to be better as the season goes on. Still don't think they have enough.

Riverside seems to be adjusting to a new coach, but have a very good defensive team. Lots of younger players on this year's team.

Mann is the darkhorse. They have a solid player in Gasmovic and a lot of CESA talent. Good coach with a good trainer. Watch them because they got a late start on the season.

Don't know a lot about the lower state sides, but it looks like the Myrtle Beach area teams and the Columbia area teams will challenge for that spot. Throw a name in the hat out of 5-6 teams and you'll get your winner."

This was an earlier reply from Always Right. Just wondering who you play for and what you think you team has or what talent you have that makes you think the upperstate isn't going to take home the title once again.

an upperstate team will definitely win. riverside is not much of a threat. eastside, daniel, mann, and greenville are though. daniel and greenville are getting better and will get better as the season progresses
