Whose is hot this year in 2A I believe for one that Pendleton, Emerald, and Wallahalla have some serious copeteing rights. Bishop England will be a powerhouse unless we people of south caroina can gget a petition started to force private schools to have to ISA leauges.

Its a little soon to be saying much right now. I really wish Bishop England would get in their own league, but thats probably not going to happen.
Also you may have some teams move to the top that weren't previously there, and may have some move back that were on top.

The rankings are very unpredictable at this point, all the teams that are in the top ten are good teams, and a couple out of the top ten. so it would be hard to say right now.

Bishop England is the only AA team worth talking about or scheduling. The only other good small school is Christ Church and maybe Academic Magnet and they'll own A as long as they play.

I think swansea has a chance to be a good team. they have good talent, they just don't play as a team and they like to be individual stars. If their defense can get it together this year and maybe if they start practicing earlier they can show their true talent.

Not to be rude but Swansea didn't have that much individual talent that i saw....But we lost so what room do i have to talk? But still....Swansea is no contender to B-E and definately not to South Aiken...Sorry

I'm with edisto on this one, go look at the score of the swansea vs edisto game at edisto, completely different. Swansea just plays pretty well at home for some reason. oh and they have a really nice field...for just soccer.

I will say they did not play away games very well and they pretty much sucked last season, and i know they will have at least one more bad season, but i think that they will have some bragging rights some time in the next three years.

Thanks Gilbert, we do have a nice field don't we? We also play drastically better at home. We were straight up raped against teams on the road, but managed to pull it together here in swansea. It is one of the stranger phenomenons that I have seen while being a player.

It look to me like t=his is more a swansea post more than anything, it only talks about swansea and the players on the team. if you look at the fist post made by turtle you will not see swansea in it, just thought i would give a little hint to stop talking about swansea so much, in tired of every post i get on i see swansea, its real old now.

B-E is the poop...I would use other words but that gets my point across...There is no more that needs to be said...Swansea would get slapped in the face by them..And so would many other schools...Is there anything i forgot to say?

thank you, finally someone who understands that we made replys that expressed our opinion of our team and how we will do this year. everyone just gets mad at us because when someone makes a similar topic we are always first to respond.

well u pansys should just get over the fact that we have team pride. we talk about swansea because thats where we are we would talk about other schools if you would bring your own school into a conversation and not dog us for just talking. im tired of people like you turtle aka darknight, always trying to shut us up. just toltally change the course of the forum instead of just egging it on

I believe that competition in the upstate will pick up this year. Walahala was pretty good last season and so were emerald. I like to see one of them go play in the state game once again. Maybe one can rally to defeat BE.

ok, all you swansea kids are keep saying well start a new forum if you don't want to hear about swansea; well guess what, that doesnt work because every forum there is about 2A or almost every forum in general there are random comments about how swansea is king of the world and how they are gonna be winning all these big games this year. enough, if you have school pride, great, discuss it amongst yourselves and leave the rest of the world out of it.

well someone took word to my advice by changing topic. im tired of you gilbert bringing us back up when the conversation clearly changed its direction from swansea. read the posts and maybe you wouldnt look so dumb. thank you deathstar for changing topics and trying to start a good forum. gilbert drink bleach and leave swansea out of ur comments. after this year you shouldnt even be able to say swansea quote: Originally posted by deathstar: I believe that competition in the upstate will pick up this year. i've recently played with the boys from Pendleton and i must say i wish i were still playing. the rising seniors have improved in the places we lacked as a team last year. i think PHS will give 2a a good run. good luck to all. have a safe season. -mjbarrs-

Waccamaw usuall puts up a decent showing. BE is always the end of the road for them, but they tend to make it pretty far every year.

Waccamaw is a good/talented young group. The most interesting thing about this team is that they are starting 6/7 Freshman, 1 Sophomore, 2 Juniors, and 1 Senior. In addition, they have 5 8th Graders on the JV who may start next year. They currently have 2 ODP players (Justin Blomdahl & Rhyne Garrity) and will add 2/3 more next year. And, one of Socastee's best players is trying to move into the district next year to play for Waccamaw. This team will be Awesome over the next few years and many people are taking notice...

Everyone's chances of beating BE just got a bit better. Rumor has it that four players were kicked off the team. Of course I've also heard rumors that they were suspended from school but not kicked off the team. Don't really know the entire truth but it does seem like at least a few players are in trouble. Of course Khouri pretty much does what he wants so even if they get in trouble with the school, I can still easily see them staying on the soccer team.

How can swansea have any pride when they got beaten 14-0 by Dreher...talk about BE that has actually beaten some great teams or possibly Emerald who has atleast somewhat competed with good teams

I don't know that anyone can compete with BE this year even with the loss of a few players...Emerald lost 5-0 to CC and 3-0 to chapin, and I don't know that Walhalla has what it takes. Unless someone from lowerstate knocks them off early, I doubt the upperstate teams could handle them. However, the season is still young and we'll just have to wait and see.

I'd look out for wade-hampton. They're pretty decent this year, and have had a tradition of a good program. They're cocky...and really have no class at all, but they're good.
When I played them they started like 9 or 10 seniors and didn't sub in anyone until there was about a minute left in the game, and they beat us like 14-0 (score may not be accurate...I stopped keeping score after 7 or something).
Of course, I could always be wrong.

Wade Hampton only has 7 seniors on the team. Only 6 of them play and 1 of them is the goalie. They are pretty good though. They are up to 4th in the state with a 7 and 1 record. Their only loss was to a very good Bluffton team in 2ot.

Hanahan is a pretty decent team. We are just getting off to a slow start. Two of our loses were in a tournament against goose creek and fort dorchester and our coach didnt think that they would count on our record so he let EVERYONE play. The other two were against a dominant BE team and a very good Waccamaw team. But we did win a against garrett yesterday which isnt really saying much, but next week we play Andrews Burke and Lincoln. The lincoln game should be a good game.

The reason people say bad things about Swansea is the obnoxious posts yall make...it's just ridiculous to say yall are gonna win state or something...you should be humble regardless of whether you are a champion or on a losing team...that being said I respect that Swansea is trying to make a soccer program and hope they are successful next year at the 3A level

wow lets clarify some more garbage rumors about BE...
first of all, it was 1 senior that left school and i THINK 3 other kids that got suspended(1 was a fr), but getting suspended at any school doesnt mean you get kicked off any sports team...
second...soccer2888 i dont know WHO told you khouri does want he wants but i can tell you that the administration HATES soccer mainly because they all coach bball or fball and lose and they kinda(definitely) give off a strong sense of jealousy of soccer. either way, khouri is the least influential person on the entire staff of BE and does what he can on his own without depending on a thing from administration. just because he wins doesnt mean he gets favored by administration...it works the other way around.
(stubborn american football/basketball enthusiasts tend to hate soccer...its a p*ssy sport isnt it!!!! real men play football(with pads?))

Aren't the basketball, baseball, softball, track, wrestling, cross country, golf, and every other team besides football good at BE? How would they be jealous of soccer?
