Dixie makeing it to upperstate final should of never happened

Why should dixie have not made it to upperstate? They beat SCS twice the first time was not even close even though the team improved by making certain lineup changes later in the season. Even though the team lost to CC badly so did SCS twice. No one in the upstate had anything on CC this year but dixie was second best.

You wouldnt say Indian Land was 2nd best to CC? They didnt lose AS badly (they still obviously lost by a good bit) and they seemed to have more shots on goal than Dixie did against CC. Too bad Dixie and Indian Land did not get a game together this season. But still, I highly resent the statement that Dixie shouldnt of made it to the Upperstate Playoffs.

I agree that there could be a gripe there on indian lands part. However I have learned over the years that comparative scores means very little in soccer or any sport for that matter. Also usually if a team like CC puts in 5 goals it could have probably been 7.

Yea i totally agree..but it is nice to see some half way decent teams here in the upstate now in 1A. Indian Land had alot of seniors this year and i dont know about Dixie but with Indian Land's geographic location and the new growth there in the area around Charlotte..they may be pretty decent in 1A from here on out if they can stay in 1A in the 2008-2010 alignment.

Well as I stated earlier a lot of teams in the abbeville,anderson,greenwood area are trying to start a summer league program since club ball has a hard time competing with football around here.

I hate to hear that indian land could be moving to 2A. Although I want dixie to get better as a soccer program my more prominant concern is that the 1A division flourish. I give CC all the props in the world they are one of the states best soccer programs. However I feel that their dominance of A has caused what little interest the division had to dry up. I would love to see many more A schools gain soccer programs and it would be nice to have some club players as well in some of the smaller programs.

Well to be very honest no one in upperstate has ever been able to match up with them. When A first received the right to have a state playoff tomek was there and he stopped anyones chance of beating them. Last year was the best year to knock them off and magnet almost made it happen. Like i have stated earlier until players in A start to take soccer more seriously everyone else has little to no chance of beating them.
