Norman North played NH on 3/24/06. North controlled the ball against NH the whole game. NH only left their defensive half about four times the whole game. North, however, was unable to score in regulation and the game went immediately to PK's as per rules for non-district play. North lost in the shoot-out, 3-2. NH has been "out-shot", as their very good coach put it, 7 out of 9 games but at this point they are 9-0. North beat on them like a drum, just could not score.

No offense to any of these teams 1-20 but there is no good way to make these rankings.....So they really mean nothing....

You're essentially right Whatdoesitmatter, but tournaments that field teams from multiple states, and friendlies between high schools in adjacent states provide some reasonable comparison between the 14 states that compete during the spring.

Only in the end does number 1 count.
