#16 from Greenbriar should not have been able to play because his sliding shorts were not the same color as his team shorts.

i had the pleasure of sitting very close to the greenbrier fans. they have to be the most unsportsmanlike fans i ever seen;and the most ignorant. they acted like teenagers. and would even criticize the irmo players attire,hair etc.. and the way coach savitz strolls up and down the sideline.. they were downright obnoxious. probably some of the worst fans i ever encountered.

anyway back to the game. irmo played very tough the first half. you could almost say they outplayed. had a few missed oppurtunites. acree had a nice breakaway that the keeper saved. prince had some very good looks. a few nice crosses into the box... greenbrier went up 1-0 with 1 minute left in the half. might have been some miscommunication im not sure.. it appeared as if the goalie was gonna save but GB attacker just stole the ball and went right around the keeper for the easy goal.

the 2nd goal for GB was bs. the linesmen clearly missed an offside call.. it couldnt have been more obvious.. he was off by a good 2-3 yards. GB attacker took it to goal.

the third goal for GB was a nice rip from 20+ yards out. i presume the goalie thought it was going out of bounds but it went near post to the back of the net. sweet goal. came with less than 10 minutes left.

irmo played solid all game. they didnt create as many oppurtunities upfront as they usually do. and when they did have oppurtunities they just couldnt put em away. GB had only one real solid goal. good team, BAD fans.

Well, your description of the game is fair. I didn't think the fans were all that bad. Irmo seems to be about on the same level on a normal basis.

The second goal was not clearly offsides. I (like you) was watching the ball as it was played, and when i looked where the ball ended up, the player was off, but I don't know where he was when the ball was played. The linesman was certainly in perfect position to know, and therefore I'll go with his call every time.

The second half was much more even, and Greenbriar had their moments where they had their way in the midfield. Irmo had alot of opportunities in both halves, but they seemed to play with negative urgency, especially when they were down by 2, taking ill-advised shots and what not. Prince's header that went just wide in the first half looked to be a goal for sure.
