beaufort beat cc at home last night, should have been worse, the keeper made some great saves, BHS missed four point blank shots over the top, beaufort seems to be an unknown, as well as HH.. think HH could win state on the right night or possible lose to beaufort. home field will help HH. Does BHS have a chance at a better seed in the playoffs if they win? im thinking pks

I sure hope that the game will not be decided by PK's as I feel that would be an injustice to both teams. Hilstory and record certainly are on HH's side but maybe Beaufort will make a little noise on this road trip. Regardless, I expect a good match between two quality teams!!

We will be straight we have overcame every injury this season that we don't even really need to talk about it anymore. Will they eventually catch up? I don't know we just have to play our game with the 11 players available on the field. I'm saying HH 2-0

This will be the game for friday. HH needs to win and Beaufort needs it so they can have an easier team to play in the playoffs.

Wayne -
The match is slated to start at 7:00 pm, but the girls start at 5:30 and rarely finish within the 90 minutes allotted. Expect a start at 7:15 - 7:30.

HH 2-1 in OT in a very physical game. HH scored in the second half on a PK. Beaufort got the equalizer on a HH defender, keeper miscommunication. Carlos scored in the second OT off of a well developed play.

What kind of injury does Chris have? Does he play defender or midfield because I've seen that different people post different positions when refering to him?

Chris Sankoski plays sweeper. At the moment he has some type of groin injury.

Chris does play sweeper. At the Carolina Classic and first half of opener against James Island he was being tried at midfield. His groin injury has been bothering him for about three weeks, missed one game, left FT.D game after 18 minutes, played in pain tonight. Good player, tough guy.

Sankowski has played sweeper for HH for the 3 years - freshman year he played full back. Midfield for a few games this seaon)He also played defense for Cesa under Parky last season and was a guest player for Parky at Score by the Shore in Jacksonville Feb 2004.
Ski has been fighting injuries since February. (Broken foot, compressed joint, torn ligament, and pulled groin) But he still gets on the field on does his best!

worst officiating i have ever seen in my life in the Beaufort at HH game. The last play of the game was a clear corner the keeper tipped it over the bar, linesman calls it a corner and the center ref signals goalkick and stands with the call after he saw the play himself.

Seems like everyone says hh is over-rated, right after they lose to them! Face it, hh may not be a great team in the terms many ascribe to, but they win....the ref had nothing to do with the outcome...maybe some should evaluate themselves instead...

HH finds a way to beat you. They are 13-5 against teams with winning records. Since the preseason tournament, they have not been beaten by more than one goal, and their only loss in the region came at S'ville on pks. Don't take away from Beaufort's fine performance. They played an excellent soccer game and nearly pulled it out. The refs called a pretty fair game. They are the same guys that ref over in Beaufort all the time, and they certainly didn't affect the outcome. If ever a coach deserved a red card, Beaufort's did tonight. I thought Beaufort played better after his exit. The game almost got out of hand prior to that, but the ref was able to get control and keep it. There's always going to be controversy on penalties in the box, but I thought is was a pretty fair call observing from the stands. The play at the end might have been touched by the Goalie, impossible to tell from the stands. How often do you see a goalie whistled for an illegal touch in the box. Ref made the right call there and Beaufort didn't make HH pay. That could have won the game for the Eagles. All in all, a very exciting game.

the ref didnt listen to his linesmans call of offside and allowed play to continue then the coach started to yell at that decision and then the ref runs up to the coach and they are having an argument then he gets kicked off and then he makes the offside call

Ref made good and bad calls both ways...no more one way than another. Bft coach charged at the ref when he disagreed a call. Not the way a coach should handle the situation. After the game a Bft player took his shirt off and approched the center ref, put out his hand and said he would shake his hand but he was still a *&^%$#@ idiot. Then a few Bft parents approched the HH Coach and made some rude comments and did the same to HH parents.

He didn't shut up after he got a yellow card for complaining about a call. The ref walked away, the coach kept yappin', and the ref went back and showed the red. Fair game? I thought both teams were whistled for about the same amount of fouls. There were some close calls, some I didn't agree with, but all in all, about what you usually see in most matches. I talked to the linesman about the last goal. A Beaufort player off the ball kept the shooter on sides, but it was a very close play.

Just because the AR raises the flag, does not mean the ref has to whistle play or go along with the AR. If the ref sees it different, he can call what he wants to or not call what he wants to. I thought the ref had his flag up signaling either a foul or the ball out of bounds. Ref could have believed it to be a foul on defender and decided to play the advantage rule. No matter. At the conclusion of the play, he went over, consulted with the AR, and awarded Beaufort a Free Kick. Ref got it right. Coach could have stayed in the game if he had focused more on coaching his team than refereeing the game. I saw the Beaufort player take off his shirt and approach the center of the field after the final whistle. If he behaved as reported by Tricky, he should be disciplined. Most of the players congratulated each other and behaved in a sporting manner. It really was a good, well played soccer match.

I saw no unsportmanlike conduct by either team after the game!had I witnessed any it would have been delt with on the spot. Hh is a tough team and congrats to them. I regret one of our coaches got a red, however, after seeing it again I feel it helped the game. That was the third time in the half that the center ref ignored, not waved off the linesman! He would not have made the call without being forced, the calls were better after this incident. I apologize for any nasty behavior from bhs, the game at this level is about the kids and the kids only!

Zokker and keeps- I was at the match and seemed to have missed this so called "horrible" ref. Please enlighten me. And zokker how can you even comment on the ref. Sounds to me like you are saying you were not even there.

Just to clear things up about the coach from BHS.....he never "charged" the ref. He did run down the field to question the call, but then he walked up to the ref and THEN the pow-wow began. A very very reliable witness told that to me, he was almost next to the situation and wsa right there when this next thing happened..... Oh yea and by the way, HH parents aren't all that innocent either. (relating to the comment made about BHS Parents) Just at the gate when everyone was exiting the stadium, a parent from HH called a mother of boy from BHS "White Trash". No comment ever flew from or back from the mother of the boy from BHS.
I know parents get involed in their children's matches and all, and they too, get emotional for their sons (or daughters, depending who is playing). It's only natural, and a good parent would be emotional for their children, which shows they care, but when it comes to trash talking, its bad. It makes the other parents look bad, who are the ones minding their own. Parents don't need to be running their mouths making rude comments, and players shouldn't either. Last time I checked, and I agree with crabb, at this level, its all about the KIDS and the KIDS only. Parents shouldn't be filling the air with trash talk. It doesn't make your son/daughter or their team look well. It kind of tarnishes things. But anyways people, the game is over. Unfortunately a tough loss for my old boys at home, but a win for HH. I know it was a well fought match on both sides. Not discrediting any one from HH and definately not from BHS. Beaufort County is sending two very skilled teams to the playoffs and I wish HH luck and my old boys back at home the best of luck. Take it to em boys, see you in the playoffs!
