Who would do the rest of the season's games followed by the play-offs?? You????

at least i know that there is no 5 minute freaking penalty for a yellow card.

Some of you people are unbelieveable.

How could you defend an adult getting paid to do something like that. At least the players know the rules. If that isn't blatant proof that we need a change in the system then I don't know what is. The worst part about it is that people like "bazza" are content with things of this nature. It's simply unbelieveable

Although it is not in the rules, I would have no problem with a 5 min. time frame before you can go back in. That gives the player some time to at least ponder the possibility that he is not far from being disqualified from the match. The player may also take that time to cool off, if needed.
Bigsby, what do you propose be done to "change the system"?

04striker, i don't think that's the issue. it's the fact that an official made up his own rule despite what the rules state. that kind of behavior should be dealt with.

If you think there should be a 5 minute penalty then you should not be involved with soccer. It's a physical game and confrontations will happen. It's called sportsmanship and most players have it. Some will not, so that should be accepted already.

A 5 minute penalty, please. Let's drop this discussion where it started: A discussion of a bad interpretation of the rules; a 5 minute penalty is not a rule.

If you read my post you do not see me defending the ref that did it. It was an idiotic thing to do and we all know the rule does not exist. Your solution was to fire all the refs, which is equally idiotic.
No-one who loves the game can be "content" with what happened.
By the way, who are "you people".???
