I also posted this in the girls forum...but for a different purpose.
Northwestern is on a 20-0 run right now, while Dreher is 12-0 since their last defeat. I know what people think about NW, but can Dreher take this into the playoffs, and finish the season without a loss since thier slipup with Hillcrest? Don't count out the game tomorrow night though, at BC will never be easy, and it would be hard to even pick Dreher to win that one.
Who's on fire right now individually? Sean Flynn...in 3 of Spring Valley's last 5 games, he notched 2 goals, and two injuries to what is now a broken nose. The teams weren't easy either, Wando, Farragut (runner's up at the PC) and South Aiken.

Do you mean beaufort. Thats not very likely since it is looking like they will have to beat wando, then play at irmo, then play the winner of HH v. Dutch Fork just to get to the lowerstate championship. They are going to have to play pretty amazing just to play Spring Valley in the lowerstate championship. But upsets happen. Just look at George Mason.

..please. Shut up.
Despite two losses in the Palmetto Cup.. out of Irmo, SV, and Wando..I would say SV has the best chance of facing NW.
SV to me..seems to have the "grit" to get it done.. and their path to Lowerstate looks to be the "easiest" of the three I listed. Though..SV has a history of falling on their face in the post season. ..who knows!
It's hard to garuntee Lowerstate for Wando, Irmo, or HH.

benp i hope we can take it into the playoffs and i think we will. i really believe lexington was a huge game for us. coming back from a 3-0 2nd half deficit helps our composure on the field. bc is always a big game and winning the last two is important to keep the momentum for the playoffs.
as for individuals john mcclam extended his scoring streak friday night to im pretty sure 10 games.

Try using punctuation, it took me about as long to read your post as it probably takes people to read the longest of my game descriptions. Anyways, lets take a look at some history. 2005-South Aiken 21-1-1 2004-Irmo 23-1-2 2003-Irmo 18-1-5 2002-Wando 24-3-1 2001-Dorman 21-2-1
In only 2 of those years did the team that won state end up 1st in the massey rankings.

Wando is looking pretty good to end out the season....I believe they beat JI 3-2 in OT their first meeting and lost to WA 2-1. Just last week they put away the region by beating WA 5-0 and JI 4-0. Nice week for them....

scskeeper, i think i speak on everyone's behalf by saying shutup. how many times are you going to say the same thing. "NW will never be beaten"; "They're the best team in the state". we know NW is good but you're killing it. and i bet you'll feel real stupid when NW loses to Fort Mill or to the Lowerstate winner.

Northwestern would beat dreher if they played tommorrow, plain and simple. However, they must watch themselves, the road to state won't be a cakewalk. Yes, they can be beaten, despite what anyone says. Honestly I think most people will agree that they will have to beat themselves and not show up for a game in order to lose before the state championship.

if dreher gets past north myrtle beach at home in the playoffs enxt weekend they have a good chance of beating greenville in the championship for 3-a. as for 4-a i say northwestern... but dont count out spring valley 7 or 8 of their players in u-18 played on NECSA and theyre going to regionals so theyre experienced and have a good chance

he is trying to say that about 10 players on SV's team won the U-18 state cup on the necsa ambush...so they have experience in playoff situations...

i dont agree. i dont think the only way NW will lose is if they beat themselves. i think Spring Valley, Irmo, Wando, HH, Fort Mill, South Aiken, or DF could beat them. There is no such thing as an unbeatable team. but dont listen to me, we'll see when playoffs begin.

i actually would agree that norhtwestern would probably beat dreher now, im pretty sure i remember reading that that was their first actual game even scrimage wise, and im sure enzo is getting better every game even tho the blue devils have improved a lot too. i just wanted to point out that they have lost and can be beat.

4Adefender, if you're going to dispute a quote by me...read it first.
"Honestly I think most people will agree that they will have to beat themselves and not show up for a game in order to lose BEFORE the state championship."
every team but two that you just mentioned is in lowerstate, therefore if they even play NW then it will obviously be in the state championship, where anything can happen.
Fort Mill will not beat Northwestern, plain and simple. Not bashing on Fort Mill, but a rivalry game like that just means too much, NW will always play their best in that situation.
As for South Aiken, I don't really have a comment on that. It was a good game last year, whoever won the upperstate final was going to win state. I honestly think NW has a better team this year, but it would still be a great upperstate rematch.
I would personally love to see NW vs. Fort Mill in upperstate

yeah good call futbol. i believe FM beat them. and i wans't talking about before state. i wasn't agreeing on the fact that the only tema that can be NW is NW. i dont think that the only way they'll lose is if they dont show up or play bad. i was saying that i think teams can beat them when they're playing well or when they're playing like they always do. Evidently FM showed that. i dont care about before state or any of that, i meant in general, any team that comes to play can beat them.

Guys, i am not one of those people who think NW is unbeatable but to say that any team that shows up to play can beat them is a tad bit ridiculous, don't you think. Yes Fort Mill beat them, but it was a close game with two of the best teams in the state. I just don't understand how someone can come to this conclusion after the beatings they have handed out all year long. Maybe playoff teams are what you were referring to. If so, then I agree with you.
