Seth is also extremely good. No one great player stands out over another great player so it is hard to say who is the best.

Yeah, Nick is going to Wofford. I believe academic and soccer scholarship, maybe just soccer. Very skilled player and possibly one of the smartest.

two from the aiken area would have to be bret ditulio from south aiken and skyler rearden from aiken high. They can both play every position on the field. Both of them are big strong and extremly fast with the ability to use either foot really well.

Jamal is an unbelievable attacker but azy on the defensive side. All three the aiken boys can strike a ball super fast. Reardon and Ditulio were kickers and kick kick the ball 70 plus off the ground

I don't know what "all-around" player means.. but this is my HS fantasy team. Josh Settle - Ben Lippen - GK Zack Owen - Daniel - D Kipp Amaker - Dutch Fork - D (yes..i'm going to hell) Kevin Ros - Brookland-Cayce - D Seth Kulasekera - Daniel - M Edwin Rengifo - Eastside - M Enzo Martinez - Northwestern - M Sean Flynn - Spring Valley - M Zach Prince - Irmo - M Andrew Phillips - Northwestern - F Ricky Taylor - Lugoff-Elgin - F (haven't seen G-ville, SA, NMB, or HH yet this year.. so..pardon the omissions)

well ive played with everyone of these players on this list plus Rushing and Nick but i have to say all around: touch, speed, in the air ,defending, and shooting Nick ....im telling you this kid can do it all...the other players have weak points though they are very few

Well, Seth, Edwin, Enzo, and Zach P. all stand out on that list so I would consider them but the others are very questionable. And Rushing certainly isn't the best "all-around" player although a very solid defender.

..at their respective positions..I think they're all pretty solid. Which is why I don't get this "all-around" thing.. do you take into account a keeper's striker skills and vice versa? Is this only a classification for midfielders? See what I'm saying?

L-E DUDE...last years best all around player would have to be wayne sweeten (BL keeper) almost as good of field player as keep...knew how to hit the net and keep them out

Okay.. my point is though..that the people being listed..are not Wayne Sweeten..and I doubt they have these "all around" skills. I know I'm being a bit of a prick here.. just you know.. nothing wrong with semantics.

No it isn't just for midfielders but all of those players are exceptional at both forward and midfield and are capable of being a good outside back because of their skill. And keepers shouldn't really be considered. But I do see what you are saying.

Well, as far as Wayne Sweeten being the best all-around player last year, I would say that this certainly isn't the case. He was about the 3rd best keeper in the state, but nowhere near as talented in the field as was said. He had a couple of game winners last year, but they were in the air, where he was an absolute freak, and its just good coaching to realize that if he's gonna get to every ball in the back, then he's probably got a good chance of getting to it in the front.
My Fantasy team: GK George Rushe (Dreher) RB Jess Maki (Lexington) CB Justin Lambert (Ben Lippen, no loyalty) LB Sean Flynn (SV and yes, in the back) RM Edwin Rengifo (Eastside) CM Enzo Martinez (Northwestern) CM Nick Shuermann (Fort Mill) LM Andrew Evans (BC) RF Ryan Kropp (Northwestern) CF Zach Prince (Irmo) LF Kyle Hughes (Ridge View)
Bench: GK Jason Mccabe (DF) Def Thomas Thunell (Dreher) Def Kevin Ros (BC) Mid Seth Kalusekera (Daniel) Mid Brendan Kight (Wilson Hall) Mid Schuyler Rearden (Aiken) Fwd Alex Acree (Irmo) Fwd Carl Anderson (Dreher)
Injured Reserve: Jamal Geathers (South Aiken) John Ross-Cramer (North Myrtle Beach) JC Gypin (BC)
There are still tons of teams I have not seen, and tons of great players who play on those teams, but from what I've seen, these take the cake.

IF I HAD JUST 11 TO CHOOSE HERE THEY GO. THIS WOULD BE A GOOD @!#$@%^*#!@ TEAM!!
The real fanasty team: GK Ty Orsborne(Lex) Def Kevin Ros(BC) Def Ben Brannan(NW) Def Carl Anderson(DRE) Mid Andrew Evans (BC) Mid Enzo Martinez(NW) Mid Matt Winstead(CN) Mid Paddy Flynn (SV) Fwd Christian Gandini(HH) Fwd Carlos Chirinos(HH) Fwd Ryan Kropp (NW)

You guys that say Nick Schuerman are right on the money. Nick is equally as good playing in the back as he is playing an attacking position. He is big, fast, and has excellent ball skills, plus he reads the game realy well.Good in the air and is a strong finisher around the goal.LE Dude says EVERY player has a weakness, but I've watched Nick in club and ODP on many occasions and I can't identify any weakness he has. Plus, he's a darn nice kid.

Agree totally with BDad on Nick. He is a joy to watch, especially off the ball, and has gotten stronger as the year has progressed. His skill as a defender has not shown totally playing mid but has it all! Good luck to him at Wofford! Look forward to seeing him play.

pappy 15 they can kick both equally as far and i have seen it you have my word on it. And for all of those people out there making lists up... why waste your time? Half of you are prob making a name just so you can say a couple WELL KNOWN good players names and then add your own in there. Even though it is a bit political....why dont we just wait and see the all state and north south rosters. Then youll have a list of the best, PLUS a list of the best of the best being the starters.

I like benp's. Maybe Christian Monroe too. What about Andrew Eppelsheimer(sp)? I like Kipp Amaker too, maybe not the most skillful player, but he's probably one of the most aggresive and physical. I would definitely put Jason McCabe right behind George too. That kid probably has more raw natural ability than any keeper, but just needs to get smarter and more vocal. I wasn't that impressed with Kyle Hughes though. Maybe he was just off the two games I saw play, but he definitely didn't stand out.

Jeffery Johnston from GHS's has had like 100 assists off his throw ins they can't be stopped. I also think it is odd that out of all these fantasy teams that you do not have any GHS players on them, seeing how they DEMOLISH thier compitition.

Yeah, they are all good players but they aren't close to being the best player in the state. And Rushing might go D-1 only cause he is big, strong, and a tough defender. Not because he is an amazing player. And are juniors allowed to talk to colleges already? Invite me when Rushing signs his letter of intent.

It probably would have helped if G-ville had scheduled some of the perennial powerhouses..or a better tournament (or two)..so they would have more exposure to some of the names being mentioned..people to compare to.
People question NW's schedule..but at least they have the LMC and PC tournaments to claim.
That being said.. 4-1 over Eastside (a team I saw early in the seaon..and was very impressed by) and 4-0 over Riverside..is very strong.

Nick Schuermann not only scored the game winning goal, he also battled in the midfield and dropped back to defense to salt the game away.
That's an "all-around" pretty good performance.

How many goals have been scored on GHS this year? Who is GHS Defense? Thier stopper and sweeper must be some of the best players casue no one on this message board can get by them. I heard somthing like they have been scored on 3 times, and 2 were PKs. Is this true?
