This is the link for the latest realignment. Typically, Regions 1-4 are upperstate teams and Regions 5-8 are lowerstate teams. However, not all schools on this list have soccer. This is simply where the schools fall classification wise. Also, do not forget that on the girls side, 1A and 2A are combined. I know this is the boys thread, but i just wanted to point that out.

Sometimes, the lines are blurred in order to make things a bit more fair as far as number of playoff games. It is not really fair to bring an uppserstate team to the lowerstate to lose in the first or second round; however, it would be equally unfair to only have 5 teams in the lowerstate and 12-14 in the upperstate b/c that would mean the upperstate teams would have to win significantly more games than a lowerstate team to advance to the state finals.

We will not know specifics until after the seeding meeting on Friday.

The teams are listed by Upper and Lower state in another thread (2-A Playoff Prediction). These are the only teams who have soccer teams in 2-A with the exception of Chapman and Columbia are also in 2-A Upper State.
