Well it is almost that time...and travel time has to be a factor here are some 4A games:

home team has to have the advantage

First round (= school night)
Aiken or NA at Ft Mill 2+ hrs in school bus
Gaffney at Lex 2+ hrs in schoolbus
Aiken or NA at NW 2+ hrs in school bus
#4 region3 at South Aiken 2+ hrs in school bus
Conway at Spring Valley ~3 hrs in school bus

Second Round(=school night)
DF travels to HH for second round. 3+ hrs in school bus

If HH wins the playoff games, they all go through HH which for Irmo and Spring Valley is a 3+ hr ride in school bus.

The only difference is the May 6 games are on Saturday.

Does anyone know if this has been a problem in the past?

I am curious, what do you mean by "problem"? Hilton Head had to travel 2+ hours to six of its regular season matches and 1+ hour to two others (and 2+ hours to each of the two tournaments).

Not complaining here, its the price of living in "paradise", but I believe that most of the players inother schools as well have experience in Club and are used to travel.

I do not disagree.

3+hrs on a school night (and probably closer to 4) to play 1.5hrs has to give the host team the advantage.

Except for the Saturday match which you can better control the time.

time line:
game at 7
minus 1 hr before game time = 6
minus 3.5 hrs travel = 2:30

game over 8:30 (not including OT and PKs)
plus 3.5 hr travel time = Midnight
and you only got to the school. you still have to get home and shower.

makes for a long day

Lord knows I have been in HH for a club game and came back...

It really makes for a long day if the student has had AP exams that day or scheduled for the next day.
