Northwestern's Arroyo headed to Francis Marion
DENNY SEITZ
dseitz@charlotteobserver.com
Northwestern High's Nathan Arroyo, who led S.C. high school soccer players in scoring and was the state's player of the year in 2005, has signed scholarship papers from Francis Marion University.

Arroyo scored 45 goals and had 121 points last season as a junior. He cannot play this year because he repeated the ninth grade; last season was his fourth and final season of high school eligibility.

Francis Marion competes in NCAA Division II. The school is in Florence.

I know Presbyterian College is making the move to NCAA Division I athletics, but I haven't heard anything about Francis Marion University.

Francis Marion is in a transition phase of moving to division I. The girls soccer team and men's golf teams have already moved to Division I effective this past fall (2005 season). The rest of the teams will follow suit in the next couple of years.

Yeah, thats what was said! Should someone reread it to you? Maybe he couldn't get into USC, maybe he wanted to go to FMU. What does POY have to do with where he goes? Your little list contains at least one all American that I know of, hell that beats SCPOY! What are you trying to say.(To me you just insulted 4 just as good, if not better players)
