I need scores, updates, game reviews, concession critiques and anything else you would like to add (except predictions) about the boys State Championship games.

Five minutes left in first half - PW 2-0 over BL.
Both goals after keeper mishandles throw-ins into the box. BL players bickering with each other now...

i wonder if winning state ever becomes routine? if you win every year, then its just like, "well there's another trophy." although walhalla is a huge rival for pendleton, i was glad to see a chance for a new team to taste a state title match. even with a 2-0 loss, that says that the game isn't out of reach. kudos to walhalla, and a routine congrats to BE

naw trust me its not routine. it gets better every year because you are carrying on the BE tradition. it is such a let down when u lose in state and it is such an extraordinary accomplishment when you when bc i have been on the receiving end of each of them twice. none of whcih was routine

Actually BE has only won it 2 years in a row. I believe I scored the game winning goal on them in 2004.

Im here to tell everyone that Lincoln was robbed today. It was a very physical game with loads of fouls. However on two occasions during regulation licoln should have been awarded a PK. When in my opinion a far less blatant foul was taken on CC they were awarded with the PK. I feel really bad for lincoln cause they played so well today and should have been state champions.

It might be routine for the school, but I can tell you it was not routine for the ones playing for BE today. The first goal was put in off a header by a freshman, which was crossed by a freshman. The second was an on goal by one of the Wahalla players. Congrats to BE on a well played game.

Riverside 2-Dreher 1(i told you it would be 2-1)Riverside came out strong today. for i'd say about 90% of the game they just flat out outplayed dreher. it looked like dreher for the most part sat back and played not to lose the game, but it's possible that riverside was that much better. dreher showed life in the last 5-10 minutes with benny smith scoring late, but it was to little to late. and on a side note, the refs were aweful. fortunately he was aweful both ways and didn't decide the game for either team. anyways, congrats to Riverside for another state championship. ya'll showed a ton of heart out there and played very well. and Dreher, congrats on a great season. i hate to see it end this way. Best of luck to all of the seniors from both schools and Coach Rowell, i wish you the best of luck and and i'm sure i can speak for anyone that has ever played for or been a part of dreher soccer in saying thanks for everything you've done for the program these past five years.

that pk five minutes into the game was a horrible way to lose a soccer state championship. many un-biased people thought it was a bad call.

SV/NW- It was a definite foul in the box for the PK. It was a correct call. The ref called a great game. Twice as many fouls called on NW compared to SV, as well as 2 yellows and 1 red on NW. SV had a done of chances to score, but could not put one away. Oh, and I am totally unbiased. Dreher/Riverside- Riverside dominated entire game, and shut done all of Dreher's chances. Very quick and fast team wore out Dreher. Riverside should have had couple more goals. Dreher came to life in last 5-8 mins. and put one in.

First, Pinewood brought the A game they needed, and deserved the win. I would have hated for them to play poorly and lose (or win). Congrats to Pinewood, they are and will certainly be a force to be reckoned with in South Carolina, let alone Scisa. With the youth on that team, its hard to pick against them for any of the next 3 years.

no, the final game was a great game, the foul in the first four minutes, both tesm getting very close to scoring. Dacis Jenkins and The rest of the SV back 3 were amazing tonight. Enzo Is a beast, but then again who didn't know that. The game was very physical, probably one of the best games i've watched all year. actually probably 2 of the best. The Dreher Riverside game was a great game as well.
In that game i felt that Dreher was out played throughout the whole game. Riverside showed up to play today, it seems that dreher only played for about 10 minutes.
AS for the 4A game, the game was very evenly matched, but i felt from the start Northwestern had the upperhand. i felt they controlled the pace more, although SV did have their spurts on offense.
Again great game to the SV defense, bad way to go out on a pk that early in the game.
great games boys, looking forward to next year

Reffing in the Dreher Riverside game was excellent, I don't believe for a minute that Riverside was that much better. I saw Riverside at the Palmetto Cup, and I saw Dreher multiple times throughout their winning streak. Two completely different teams on the field tonight, and Dreher just had too little too late.
