Congrats to all selected, but this is once again about who your coach is, how good your team is, and less about the player.

Sorry I have to say it. I understand that there are some great players out there not on the list. But your comment was "Congrats to all selected, but this is once again about who your coach is, how good your team is, and less about the player." If your team is really good and your coach is really good the chances are you are really good. So isn't that about the player. I think it would be better to say that all these kids deserve it and other probably also as well. I know one kid who should have been on the North South team. He didn't make it but you know he is playing at the next level and to me that is much better. So congratulations to all I am sure years of hard work finally paid off.

cheers,
I have to note that I was the first to post here a congrats to the players. I am talking mostly about the selection process. All those selected well deserve their respective selections.

Well enlighten me on how everything works. To my understanding I thought all coaches had a say so in it. If a coach does not submit their vote then I would say that is all on the coach. Am I missing anything? If the process is wrong then we need to fix it. I just want to make sure that none of these kids above have anything taken away from them about making it on the list. I know how it feels to be on the list and how it feels not to be on the list. Both places are not always fun. The kids worked hard to get there so you are right congrads to them. For the other you are talking about that did not make the list maybe we could do an honorable mention.

Cheers, I think you are correct. From my understanding the coaches send in their players and then The State puts the team together. If a deserving player is omitted, it's probably not the newspapers fault but the coach.
