Coach Scott Ferguson's Lady Warriors outscored their three top-flight opponents 17-0 en route to a 3-0 record and championship trophy of the Field of Champions at Mt. Pleasant. Wando defeated Spring Valley (7-0), Eastside (4-0), and Riverside (6-0) over the weekend.

Mauldin, which handed Wando its' only setback of the season (2-1) at the Taco Bell Viking Cup in February, also tallied a 3-0 mark, but finished four points behind Wando. Coach Gwynne Armstrong's Lady Mavericks downed Riverside (3-1), Spring Valley (2-1), and Richland Northeast (5-1) in the three-day event.

With all the rain and cancelled games and all in the state maybe we could save a lot of time and trouble if we just went ahead and scheduled a Wando vs Mauldin state championship game on the next dry Friday...

Agreed, we've seen Wando trip up before.
However,Wando shut out all 3 teams. Defense is pretty solid.

Sorry for my moment of Folly. Guess we better put that early Mauldin v Wando state championship game on hold and see how the rest of the season actually plays out.
