I think W Ashley will continue their domination of
Wando Friday night. Drew has their #.

I pray you're right, but those scores look pretty intimidating all the way up here.

West Ashley 3 - Wando 2, OT

Winning goal (her second) scored by Meech Gibbs with one minute left to play in the second 5 minute overtime period. Teams were evenly matched. No luck involved as best I could tell...

When you beat a team twice (at their home field) no luck is involved, clearly at this point West Ashley has Wandos number

West Ashley could have NO coach on sideline and still outcoach Wando. What a waste of talent.

Two great games this week. Wando v JI tomorrow at James Island and JI at West Ashley on Friday. Great entertainment for $5.

Somebody mentioned that the referee was absolutely the worst they had ever seen. Equally bad for both teams but still a detriment to the game.

I'am really looking forward to the James Island, West Ashley gmae on Friday this should be a good one. Even though the teams palyed in the Rotary, this time it counts. James Island had better watch out for Wando and not look ahead to the West Ashley game, Wando is mad and they are looking to take it out on someone.

The ref certainly wasn't the worst I've ever seen. The bad calls seemed truly random and did not effect the outcome of the game in any way.

ps: I hope you did understand that I was not calling the Wando parents obnoxious. They are always a very civil group, but clearly much more accustomed to winning than losing.

My Wando contact told me their frustration is with coaching decisions being made with team. They were ahead of Mauldin 1-0 at Viking Cup before he took out some starters with less than 5 minutes to go.

What do you think the outcome of the James Island Wando game will be you have seen both teams play, i know Wando has some fire power but has the James Island defence been tested yet this season. Look forward to some insight.

Predictions almost always seem to either sound boastful or come back to haunt me as totally wrong, but I think JI will be too much for Wando to handle. Their offensive tools are numerous and consist both of stellar individual scorers as well as very powerful team play and their defense is quite solid. I agree that JI needs to focus on Tuesday's game and not look forward to Friday and their match with West Ashley. That said, Friday's game should be a real gem. I'll be at both.

Thanks for the info, thats why the games are played on the field and not on line.

The only thing I noted about the Wando coach's substituting was that he made an obvious effort to break West Ashley's momentum in the OT periods by very frequent substitutions. It could be his team was winded and needed the rest but when I see substitutions at every available opportunity in the last 10 minutes of a game I figure it's to get control of the pace of a game. In the end it didn't pay off.

Again, I wasn't there so I don't know. I just hear Wando's starters are juggled around a lot.
