Can anyone tell me if dates have been chosen for the first (and subsequent) rounds of playoff games? Also, how is the selection made for playoff slots -- winner and second of each region? best record to fill in the gaps? Thanks in advance.

Yes, all three teams made the playoffs. My question is more about the selection process. Surely the top three teams from each region aren't taken, though that might be the process.

lpaf,

The playoff dates I have are May 5, 7, 9.
May 13 is the Upper State.
May 16 is the State Championship.

It may or may not be different in your district.
Hope this helps.

last year they took the top 4 teams from each region. the teams were broken into lower and upperstate groups/brackets. a couple of the top ranked teams get a first round by. then the top ranked teams left play the lowest ranked teams (#3 playing #10, #4 playing #9, for example). higher ranked team got home field. i'm not sure how they got the ranks once the regions were combined. and i'm not sure exactly how it was but thats what i remember. also, it might have changed for this year.

If you go to schsl.org there are brackets posted under 2002-2003 playoff brackets, but not filled in, for everything except A/AA. Hope that helps.

I don't belive they're having first round byes this year due to the expanded number of regions.
