I would suggest the Taco Bell Viking Cup hosted by Spring Valley HS in Columbia during February as a preseason tourney and the Field of Champions hosted by Wando HS in Mount Pleasant, which is usually held sometime in April.

I'll post the e-mail addresses for Coach Steve Lea (SVHS) and Coach Scott Ferguson (WHS) later today on this thread.

Good luck and we look forward to your team visiting the Palmetto State in 2004!

This would be interesting to see. During spring break my daughter and I visited some colleges in North Al. While there I went to see Huntsville HS and Ft Payne HS girls play. They were ranked 3 and 2 respectively in Class 5A, a cross between our smaller 4A and bigger 3A schools. They both were fundamentally sound, very similar to eastside, riverside, wando, mauldin type of skill. However they played at a slower pace and are not as aggressive or physical as the top tier teams in SC. I know Huntsville won (2) or played for (1) State Championships in the last 4 years in class 5A. I don't know HS they are talking about in AL but I think it would be a great thing for womens soccer in both states.
