West Ashley, Summerville and James Island should all advance to the Lower State semifinals the one match up that interests me is the Wando - Dutch Fork game in the second round...any thoughts
Dutch Fork is a good team, they have some good players and do not give up easy. I bet that will be one good game (Wando vs Dutch Fork) Good luck Dutch Fork!!
In all the messages no mention is made that Spring Valley made it thru the second round. Spring Valley plays Lexington tonight at home. They have played inconsistently, but they could pull this off.
Yes they could and I hope they win. When (and if) they get to Maulden I hope that their best defender is back defending, she was always able to stay right on Bryn Post (and that was not easy) because she will be needed against Maulden.
Congrats to James Island. Their early goal allowed them to play defensively and clog up Wando's offense. Their other 2 goals were quick counters. Wando had possession advantage and shot advantage but bottom line the only shots that count are the ones that go in. Real hard to beat any team 3 times in one yr. James Island deserved the win. I am pulling for Lowcountry to win state title.
