Just wanted to update everyone on the efforts to raise funding for the Lakewood Girls Soccer Team. For those unaware, the school district cut the funding for the girls team this year and there has been an organized effort to raise the funding through a non-profit organization established for the cause.
The girls are knocking on the door of the $4500 they needed to raise. They have worked very hard during the summer to raise the funds through carwashes and candy sales. We have also been blessed by some very generous sponsors. We would like to thank SCSOCCER for allowing us to post our situation on the board, and thank all of you out there that are supporting the girls efforts.

On Thursday November 20, 2003, the Lakewood Soccer Association presented to Dr. Randy Reagan a check for $4500. This money will fully fund the girls soccer team for the 2003-2004 season. I would like to thank all of our sponsors, as well as those who gave so unselfishly of their time and efforts.
