If colleges looked at the number of saves instead of the team's record, keepers from teams like Thomas Sumter would be getting scholarships to Division 1 schools. The truth is, the keeper is the first building block of the team, the first attacker. But playing keeper is more than just making saves; it's directing the offense, switching the fields and aiding the defense. Saves are just a number, Wins are a whole season.
