You'd better email the Heises because Summerville lost 4-0 to West Ashley and I believe they're still in the top 10. Surely that doesn't sit well with the pollsters...

I don't think that any team that lost 4-0 to a team unranked at the time of the match has been ranked this year, look that up in your trusty rule book. West Ashley IS ranked and a VERY talented side. If you're still "thinking" about being ranked, why not play them? If you lose by a 3-0 goal margin or less, then maybe you will be!

Well I got to see South Aiken when they played Lexington last Friday, and I have to say I was not impressed. South Aiken beat Lexington 3-0, but they really have nothing. Unfortunatly, Lexington has less than nothing (if that's possible). Absolutely no offense for Lexington, but a very good young goalie. She can't do it all by herself though. That has to be the weakest region in the state on the girls side. No way should South Aiken be ranked as high as they are. They haven't played anyone yet. The Lexington boys finally have a quality coach that they respect and play hard for, but the Lexington girls.... thats a whole different story.......

In Region 8 i would say Hilton Head def. has a shot at the title, w/ Summerville as close competition.

As far as Region 8 is concerned.........I may be sticking my foot in my mouth but I don't think Hilton Head will be at the top. At the moment, I'm thinking Summerville. Friday nights' game could give a glimpse as to whose second. Of course, if our girls don't play any better than they have the last two outings, we'll be out of the equation. They have the ability, but for some reason ,the desire hasn't been there as of late!
By the way....does anyone know the outcome of Hilton Head and Beaufort last night???

A message to ExLexFan: You should watch more than one game a team has played before you say they have nothing. South Aiken is a team who has never had quality coaching in the past but have come out with determination and dedication this year. This is a team with young players (only one starting senior) and five starting freshmen or sophomores. There is alot of talent on this team and you should really watch them play again before you come to your conclusions. While on only recording a 3-0 win, Lexington was lucky with the number of missed shots by SA (nearly 5 hitting the post). Mauldin (#2) played Lexington as well and only beat them 3-0 (the same score of the SA/Lex. game)...I guess Mauldin has "nothing" either.
